I spent ages writing a more specific changelist, but then I pressed submit and my post just disappeared. :-( I think this site logs people out too quickly. So that one is one I just typed up quickly.
No. LOL. I didn't add any footage from the series (unless you count the MGM logo). I didn't add any movie clips at all. I just changed the movies.xml file so that when the user wins any galactic campaign it first plays the CGI clip you made of a spotlight circling a stargate with your logo, and then it plays the MGM logo. (and then it plays the credits, which weren't working before). Before it used to show a Star Destroyer being blown up, followed by Luke, Han, Chewie, and the droids being given medals by Princess Leia, then the Star Wars EAW credits. And I made it so that GC campaigns can use the Atlantis_Gate movie if they want. I may add that to the GC.
However, there is already real footage from series 7 included in your mod, which is when they find the ZPM on Taonas. Is that movie supposed to be there? And are we supposed to use it?
I did add icons for Kawalsky, Ferretti, Jonas and Vala, which I created based on presumably copyright (but promotional) images. These icons aren't actually used anywhere, but they're in there because I was playing around with my own GC campaign for fun. And I added a (promotional) image of General Hammond, and an image of Anubis. I can remove them if you want. But the pictures of the Stargate are ones that I drew myself.
Of course the whole mod is a total copyright violation, and always will be as long as it mentions stargates or anything else from the show, even if we draw everything ourselves, do our own voice acting, and write our own dialog.
The warning about bombing runs shows up as a hint from the MALP when playing a land battle. It replaces one that mentioned Star Wars. I'm also experimenting with removing the bombing run icon from the control panel, but I don't know how well that will work, so I might not do that.
I changed the great big picture of R2D2 that is next to the "Droid Log" (that I renamed "Mission Reports") to a picture of General Hammond, and the Goa'uld version has Anubis. And I changed the raid fleet icons to a Stargate and the orange oval on the left of planets to a Stargate. I can't remember if I changed any other graphics. But I removed all the pictures of blurry Storm Troopers when you click on a planet, and fixed some of them so they show a Prior or Anubis or whatever they were supposed to show, but didn't. There are still a few SW graphics, like Storm Trooper fleet icons when you start a tactical battle, that I haven't fixed yet. You are welcome to use my Raid Fleet icons if you want. But there may have been a better way of doing it. I had to massively exaggerate the blues and downplay the reds because the game applies an orange filter to it.
I haven't made anything buildable, except the Apollo in Skirmish. I just changed some things in the planets files to fix showing the wrong graphic, or showing missing graphics. And I fixed a greater than sign in the wrong place in hamm_prom (Hammond in the Prometheus) that was causing a "missing". And I fixed some of the typos and text in the wrong places in the DAT files.
I did make the "Coming Soon" campaigns playable by changing it so their names weren't all the same, (One was already playable in German but not in English), but with a warning they are buggy or don't work.
Now it's my turn to get answers for my questions. Here's another question... does anyone know why "Map Name" and "Planet Name" end up with random characters after them when you edit a map in the editor, and how you can work around that? Is there a later version of the map editor?
Damn this bloody forum always signing me out when I click Submit and throwing away my long answers! It did it again!
