Nvidea 8800 is perfect! You can find a really nice deal online. (RAM is way cheaper though)

RAM would likely help if your under 2gb but it's more so your processor (# of them and # of cores doesn't actually matter in the case of this game)just over 2ghz would reduce most lag but again the xml library is too large for the game to accommodate which slows down searching times. Besides this its your regular background systems that slow things down.

p.s. if your graphics card has the features and a gpu better then 200 mhz it really doesn't do much for the game, it's more so dependent on the game settings itself quality, detail etc.

You could to create new ship for taurie.Like in sin of solar empire they create battleship,Dreagnouth and another stuff like here media.photobucket.com/image/stargate%20t.../SoaSE/SGIFleet6.jpg .So taurie wont really need asguard to be stronger in the game . For add these ship you should simply make Tech 1=x-303 tech 2=Bc-304 tech 3 BS-305 Tech 4 BS-306 and tech 5 DD-307

I heard rumors they were making an alternate reality GC. I think that would be a good fit in there.

Ist sure but you dont need to use them just for 1 gc but for all they will be new taurie ship.For normal gc but for an highter tech level or after the campaign.
