Before you post a bug report or a feature or help request, please think about these things first:

This forum is for questions about problems with the mod, feature requests for future work and reporting bugs with the current build. Please do not post anything about Stargate in general or such.

Search before posting. There might be another topic written by someone with the same problem as you have that resolved the issue.

Do not hijack someone else's topic with irrelevant questions of your own.

Please try to test bugs more than once; a bug may only happen one time and thus needs not be resolved after for example restarting the game and trying again.

When reporting a bug or asking for help, please supply us with as much relevant information as possible. State what the problem is, when it occured, if you changed something yourself just before the problem occured and so on.

Last but not least, remember to be polite!

hello or good evening,
I have a problem with the launcher of the game he sent me this error message.
I am on Windows 8 and I have the version steam gold

I tried to install the game manually, but its not working.

ps: I launched the launcher in as administrator and XP SP3

Hello spyrox,
when exactly does the error message occur?
If you can see the main window try to go in settings and enable the "create error log" checkbox on the second page and post the generated content here. Also, make sure that you run the launcher in Administrator mode (right click -> Run as Administrator).

Please grab it and let us now if that helped. If the problem persists, please upload the sceenshot somewhere else/with a higher resolution or post the error message from the log here.

so I uninstalled and re-download all the game on Steam (Gold Version).
I download the latest version of the launcher.
I started in admin and I always receive an error message.
here is the screen of the error and the log.

the machine runs on Windows 8 and all the drivers are updated.

Looks like the launcher doesn't find the swfoc.exe with the Windows-Registry.

Could you please check if there is any path like the following in your Registry? (search regedit in Win8 to open the editor)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption\1.0
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption\1.0

What problem is it exactly, that you have?
You get an error message? When exactly and what does it say?
