× Hello there,

Before you post a bug report or a feature or help request, please think about these things first:

This forum is for questions about problems with the mod, feature requests for future work and reporting bugs with the current build. Please do not post anything about Stargate in general or such.

Search before posting. There might be another topic written by someone with the same problem as you have that resolved the issue.

Do not hijack someone else's topic with irrelevant questions of your own.

Please try to test bugs more than once; a bug may only happen one time and thus needs not be resolved after for example restarting the game and trying again.

When reporting a bug or asking for help, please supply us with as much relevant information as possible. State what the problem is, when it occured, if you changed something yourself just before the problem occured and so on.

Last but not least, remember to be polite!

Hi All

Wondering if you could help. I have installed the game and used a bat file to run it. I dont have the launcher, I never bothered using the manual install. The problem is that it wont work. When I click my bat file (dont tell me it has the wrong text in, IT DOESNT), the normal game just starts. No stargate TPC will show up. This is on my 32bit laptop, it worked on my 64bit home computer. Does anyone know why this is happening. Right directory the game is in, correct bat file placement, correct text in bat. I tried everything. Anyone know the fix?

Thanks
Orrila

Thanks

I beg to differ.
Sorry but it just has to be a pathing issue.
Make sure to double-check:
You need ...\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption\Mods\Stargate\Data
and
...\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption\ Stargate Mod.bat

If it still doesnt work (you really have to watch for spaces or transposed letters) take a look at the FAQ in chapter 6.2.6 and check if your installation worked (meaning if you have the correct file sizes).

I had stargate/all that stuff.

Thanks for the help. I just forgot that data folder (when copying files to my laptop) easy thing to foget hey :D. Thanks though.

Thanks

Orrila

P.S. Applying soon hopefully (you know what I mean locutus, I think) :D

EDIT 1: Btw, maybe you could help. I made my own space unit, how do I add it to be able to be purchased in a space station?

Thanks

Orrila

EDIT 2: I realise that I dont add things to stations, rather I named the unit crusader gunship, same as the other X-303 (this unit is tauri, yes)

What can I name it so that it is a different unit?

Admin-Edit(Locutus): Please avoid unnecessary double-posts. You can edit your posts instead.

Thanks, but do you have an answer

Thanks

Open Starbase_Faction.xml and add your unit to <Tactical_Buildable_Objects_Multiplayer>.

<X_303_SUPER_Data>
<SpaceUnit Name="X_303_SUPER">

What I mean is is those 2 tags above useable, or wont they work? The originale X303 super is the x-303 which used Crusader_Gunship_Data. So, if I add it to the space station, will it show up with these.

Thanks

You can name <X_303_SUPER_Data> whatever you want.
It's a simple tag that only encompasses your xml file and does not have any other influence on the code and the game.
Just make sure to have a matching end-tag.

If your new unit is called X_303_SUPER then, yes, this is the name you need to add to the starbase.
